A pallet stacker is a lifting machine that raises palletized loads to storage height — shelves, racking, mezzanine decks — without the footprint, cost, or licensing overhead of a sit-down counterbalance forklift. They're the go-to in warehouses, retail backrooms, food and beverage operations, light manufacturing, and anywhere a full forklift is overkill but a hand pallet truck can't reach high enough.

The category splits along two axes: how you lift (manual winch vs. electric) and how you travel (hand-walk vs. electric drive). A manual stacker is the lowest entry cost — you crank the forks up, push the load manually. A semi-electric stacker adds a powered mast so you're not hand-cranking 800 kg overhead. A full-electric walkie stacker powers both lift and drive. A straddle stacker replaces solid forks with adjustable straddle legs so it can slide under pallets that sit on the floor rather than on a pallet rack beam. A counterbalance stacker skips the outrigger legs entirely using rear ballast — compact footprint, works in tight aisles.

• How high do you need to lift? Manual winch stackers top out at lower heights (typically 1,600–2,500 mm) and are best for floor-to-low-shelf lifts. • Does the load sit on the floor or on racking beams? If your pallets sit directly on a flat floor (not racked), you need a straddle stacker — its outrigger legs slide underneath. • How much travel distance per shift? If the operator is walking the machine more than 50–100 m per cycle, the manual-travel models (manual stacker, semi-electric stacker) get fatiguing fast.
