Pick, rotate and place paper rolls without a pallet. Hydraulic curved-arm clamp, padded contact faces, 180-degree standard rotation — or 360-degree continuous if your application needs it. Class II and III, 1,500 to 2,500 kg. Forty-five percent below Cascade or Bolzoni list, CE certified, QC pack in the box.

Paper roll handling is a specialised handling problem. Rolls are heavy, cylindrical and damage easily if clamped with too much force or with the wrong contact face geometry. A paper roll clamp solves this with a pair of curved arms that match the roll's circumference across a broad contact area, spreading the clamping force to avoid crushing or deforming the roll face. The hydraulic circuit provides adjustable clamping pressure so the operator can match force to roll density — newsprint gets handled differently from thick kraft or tissue.
The JL-RC mounts on ITA Class II (JL-RC 15) and Class III (JL-RC 25) carriages. The two capacity ratings cover the range from smaller 500–700 mm diameter newsprint and magazine rolls through heavier large-format kraft and industrial paper rolls up to 2,500 kg. Both models ship with 180-degree rotation as standard — enough for most handling cycles, including upending a roll from vertical to horizontal. Full 360-degree continuous rotation is available as an upgrade at order.
The clamp arms open to a maximum spread that accommodates rolls up to approximately 1,500 mm in diameter on the JL-RC 15 and approximately 1,800 mm on the JL-RC 25. Minimum arm spread accommodates rolls from approximately 400 mm diameter. Specify your roll diameter range at order if your application is near the extremes; arm geometry can be adjusted at the factory for non-standard ranges.
Standard pads are smooth steel with a rubberised friction facing — appropriate for most paper grades. Soft rubber pads (for high-value coated papers and tissue rolls) and hardened steel pads (for textiles and plastics in a similar diameter range) are available as options at order. Pad replacement is a field-serviceable operation covered in the operator's manual that ships with every unit.

Roll diameter range specs are indicative for standard arm geometry. Custom arm geometry for non-standard diameter ranges available at order. Verify carriage class and backrest height against your forklift manufacturer's specification before ordering. All specs verified against factory data sheet.
Paper roll handling has a specific problem set: high value loads, damage sensitivity, awkward geometry, and a need for rotation on every cycle. Here's how the JL-RC addresses each one.
The clamp arms are profiled to the roll's circumference, distributing clamping load over a broad arc rather than point-loading the roll face. Less concentrated pressure means less crush damage on the outer wrap.
Standard contact faces are rubberised steel — enough grip to hold at full rated capacity, soft enough not to mark coated or glossy paper grades. Soft rubber and hardened steel pads available for specialist applications.
Hydraulic clamping pressure is adjustable from the forklift's hydraulic flow controls. Set a lower pressure for tissue and lightweight newsprint; higher for dense kraft and industrial rolls. One attachment handles both.
Rotates 180 degrees to upend a roll from vertical to horizontal storage, or return it upright for reel-stand mounting — covering the two most common paper roll handling cycles without needing the full 360° option.
Fits ITA Class II and III standard carriages without drilling or welding. Swap in for roll-handling shifts, swap out when the floor returns to pallet work. Field change-over in under an hour.

Cascade and Bolzoni paper roll clamps are specified for a reason: the curved geometry, the pad material, the adjustable clamping pressure. We built the JL-RC to the same specification and the same capacity ratings — CE certified, padded arms, QC pack in the crate — at forty-five percent below what a dealer quote would show you. The rolls won't know the difference. Your procurement budget will.
