Same walkie electric pallet truck category. Lithium battery instead of lead-acid. 120 kg instead of 237 kg. Fast charge, no acid, no watering schedule. Half the price of the North American branded equivalent.

The JL-LIP is a 1,500 kg walkie electric pallet truck built around a lithium-ion battery instead of a lead-acid pack. The operational spec is similar to the standard walkie — same fork geometry, same pedestrian operation, same electromagnetic brake — but the battery is a 5 kg lithium cell rather than a 32 kg lead-acid block. Service weight drops from 237 kg (walkie + lead-acid) to 120 kg. The truck is lighter, faster to manoeuvre, easier to push by hand in tight corners, and simpler to maintain.
Travel speed is 4.0 km/h laden, 4.5 km/h unladen. Gradeability 6% laden. The turning radius is 1,360 mm — tighter than either the standard walkie (1,460 mm) or the rider (1,540 mm). Fork width 560 mm standard, 685 mm wide option available.
The supplier spec explicitly notes: one battery for occasional usage, two batteries for heavy-duty shift operations. The JL-LIP ships with one battery. If your operation runs multiple shifts without charging downtime, order the second battery at the same time — it's the lithium equivalent of keeping a spare lead-acid on the charger, without the battery room requirement.
Drive motor is 0.75 kW vs 0.65 kW in the standard walkie — marginally more power at significantly less weight. The truck accelerates more responsively under load. No watering schedule. No acid spill risk. No corrosion from off-gassing. The trade-off: the Li-ion pack is 20 Ah vs 70 Ah for lead-acid, which is why two packs cover a heavy-duty shift where lead-acid runs on one. For normal single-shift light-to-medium warehouse use, one pack is sufficient.
All figures from the factory spec sheet. If a number isn't here, we couldn't verify it and we won't publish a guess.

560 mm and 685 mm fork width options available at the same price. One battery ships standard; second battery available on order for heavy-duty multi-shift operations. Lift height is 105 mm (vs 200 mm on the standard walkie) — suitable for standard pallet operations, not high-lift applications.
Lithium isn't automatically better than lead-acid — it depends on the application. Here's where the JL-LIP wins, and where it doesn't.
Half the weight of a lead-acid walkie at full battery. Operators feel the difference immediately on ramps, through doorways, and anywhere the truck needs manual nudging.
Lead-acid batteries require distilled water top-ups, produce hydrogen gas during charging, and corrode nearby steel over time. None of that applies here. Charge, operate, repeat.
Tightest in the electric pallet truck range — 100 mm tighter than the standard walkie. Gets into spaces the heavier lead-acid truck can't reach cleanly.
Very low energy draw for the workload. The 20 Ah pack covers a normal single-shift light-to-medium operation. A second pack is available for heavy multi-shift use.
Lithium accepts partial charges without memory effect. Plug in during lunch, plug in at break — each charge extends the shift without requiring a full drain-recharge cycle.
Same dead-man brake as the lead-acid walkie — the truck stops the moment you release the drive control. No coasting, no drift, no operator-dependent stopping distance.
Every JL-LIP ships with the documentation a procurement team or safety officer actually asks for, packed in the crate with the unit.
North American branded Li-ion walkie pallet trucks (Big Joe LPT class) list at approximately $6,120 CAD. The JL-LIP is $3,090. Same 1,500 kg Li-ion walkie category. The badge accounts for the rest.
